Samadhi is a Balanced State of Mind.

Samadhi is a balanced state of mind. For example, a person must use or make use of every aspect of their being, mind and body or it will reduce in size. Physically, it is easier to see, but a person must meditate and tune into the force and the feeling of OM inside. "Normally, the mind and body limit you, but by holding onto something infinite, you slowly raise yourself from the finite objects that bind you and transcend them" (Sutra 29). We need to connect with the collective feeling of "I" and be selfless to feel the powers and presence of OM. By letting our body or mind get lazy and dull we will not be able to surpass the obstructions that was put in front of us. Sutras 21 and 22 explain that Samadhi is achieved quickly by those who practice frequently and intensely. It is not for the lazy mind or body.
One thing that also stuck out to me was the quote from Sutra 15 that stated, "Sacrafice is the law of life...what is due to us will come without worrying about it." Our greatest desire should be to make others happy and be selfless. Selfishness only brings unhappiness and pain. If you are to be selfish, be selfish in such a way that you will give everything to make yourself happy. "There is a joy in losing everything, in giving everything, you cannot be eternally happy by possessing things" (pg 25). So by having this moral (selfless) background, achieving Samadhi will not be dangerous. We will recognize the natural evolution and use if for the good of others.
