Storytelling

Native American use the method of storytelling to tell their history, to tell their culture.  Because everything is connected often times they would used symbols of nature as their main inspiration to their story. Essentially this is what I did, in my family my mother aunt always tell us the story of how she met her significant other. Like in the Native America story telling tradition I used nature instead of people to tell this story.In Native American culture story tellling brought community together, it kept family together. It was a way to learn and express the storyteller opinion, its own history.

Here is a paragraph in the story:

“The sun and the moon were witness of this love. The wind was the messenger of this strange, but real love. The rain was the tears that each one of the lover felt for not being able to be together. It was a strange love, a love that only through times was going to fade away like a wave fades away a castle that it is in the middle of the sand.”
